although i enjoy conversing with others, i depend on alone time to recharge.

fiery colors compete, clashing

i chew the air, chilling

spiders and skeletons conjure comfort.

skulls captivate me. they’re cool!

not creepy. carving pumpkins, i clench

my hands into fists

slimy seeds creep

through my knuckle cracks

and collapse. can I confess?

my obsession cannot be contained.

crawling through the woods cavernously

chasing smells. i’m compelled

to collect every crumb

as crisp leaves crumble

into dust carried

away. nothing’s close to comparable.

i can’t control these cravings.

i competed in my first shows in June and July 2024.
